BLUE SURF (2D Animation / In Development)
Logline:
A shy beach caretaker who’d rather clean up than stand out must become a leader when rowdy outsiders put his surf, beach, and wildlife at risk.
Synopsis (short):
Blue Surf is an animated adventure set in a vibrant yet increasingly threatened beach ecosystem, where animals tell the story and humans share the shoreline with wildlife. SEAWEED is a shy, reclusive beach caretaker who spends his days quietly cleaning litter, untangling fishing nets, and protecting sea life. Confident surfer STREAK and his loyal blue-heeler dog SCRATCH dominate the waves, while a colorful cast of characters, including Shades, Sandy, Sally, Stir-fry, and the philosophical drifter Sandals, form a loose-knit coastal family. Their peaceful rhythm begins to unravel when a rough gang of outsider surfers, Grido, Bolt, Torpedo, and their aggressive dog Ripper, arrive and begin claiming the beach as their own.

BEYOND THE RAINBOW BRIDGE (Live Action / in development)
Inspired by the novel ‘BJ: A Dog’s Journey into the Afterlife’ written by Steven H. Woodward.
Logline:
After being separated from his family and passed through multiple troubled owners, a resilient Shih-Tzu named BJ embarks on a soulful journey across farms, shelters, and near-death experiences to rediscover love, loyalty, and his true purpose – all from a dog’s point of view.
Synopsis (short):
BJ, a gentle Shih-Tzu with a bruised past, is torn from his farm family and thrust into a cycle of shelters, temporary homes, and loss. Along the way, he encounters a colorful cast of animals, each carrying emotional scars of their own, and humans who are grieving, broken, or simply lost. As BJ struggles to understand death, abandonment, and the cruelty of fate, he begins to sense something deeper at work: a spiritual thread that binds souls together across life, loss, and the afterlife.

Inspired by the novel “Jasper - The Dog Who Knew Too Much’
written by Marie and Steven H. Woodward.
Logline:
A therapy dog acts as a go-between for a hospitalized war veteran and a single woman who’s sworn off men after being dumped one too many times.
Synopsis (short):
ELLIE SIMPSON is a spirited but guarded former veterinarian navigating life after a painful divorce. Burned by the past and seeking purpose, Ellie throws herself into her work at a therapy hospital, accompanied by her loyal dog, Belle. Everything changes when Ellie encounters JASPER a bedraggled Cairn Terrier abandoned on the streets with a broken leg and a haunting history. Against her better judgment—and Belle’s sassy objections—Ellie rescues Jasper, setting off a chain of events that will alter both their lives forever.

Logline:
As her family’s cherry orchard withers, a headstrong teen must confront long-buried secrets and strained relationships while grappling with the potential loss of both her family legacy and her mother’s health.
Synopsis (short):
EOLANDE SUMMER is determined to make this summer one to remember. Her eldest ELLA, refuses to spend one more summer working the family orchard. A place where time stands still holds no interest for the London based clubber. With harvest time around the corner, Eolande’s stalwart brother ALWYN SUMMER and his frugal Italian wife, TAMARA, make it seem like nothing’s changed since Eolande’s last visit. But they’re going to need a ‘miracle’ to keep Eolande from finding out about the dead cherry orchard and impending bankruptcy.

JEZEBEL (Live Action / in development)
Logline:
A power-lustful queen abetted by ancient dark forces, exercises her demonic reign over an ancient kingdom, but not without battling a defiant warrior backed by a wise prophet.
Synopsis (short):
In 9th Century BC, Phoenician priest-king Ethbaal spends all his waking hours communing with Canaanite fertility gods, leaving priestess-queen Nehushta, to groom young princess JEZEBEL in the ways of Phoenician culture. Fifteen years later, Ahab and Ethbaal, two power-hungry kings from religiously opposing nations, form a political alliance under the guise of an arranged marriage. Ahab weds Ethbaal's reluctant daughter Jezebel, despite fire-n-brimstone warnings by the great prophet, Elijah. After the ceremonial dust settles, Elijah's foretold famine grips the holy nation. Jezebel's refusal to submit to Ahab or his God, Yahweh - is not only compounded by her contempt of the Samarian dust that works its way into her skin - but her mounting detestation of Yahweh.

Logline:
Sold into slavery by his brothers, a young shepherd interprets Pharaoh’s dreams and is bestowed the highest
honor, giving rise to greatness and leading his family to salvation.
Synopsis (short):
Joseph may be a gift-from-God to his parents, Jacob and Rachel, but to his ten half-brothers, he's a 'sheep among wolves'. As Joseph grows in virtue, so do their black hearts. When Jacob presents his favourite son, Joseph with a coat 'fit for a king', he doesn't expect pride to spring-up, nor dreams of greatness.

MAID IN AMERICA (Live Action / in development)
Logline:
A newly recruited White House maid with secret service aspirations, foils a plot to knock-off the president.
Synopsis (short):
ALBREDA JACKSON drifts from one temping job to another, but none of the chequered posts bring the street savvy Latifah any pride. If she’s honest with herself, the unconventional soul sista gets a buzz lighting up former ex-boyfriends in target practise. At home with a sniper rifle, Albreda lines up their mug shots on a VR simulator. The diversion tickles her law-abiding bone, while she dreams of a calling in the Secret Service. Let’s hope this new posting at the White House doesn’t turn out to be another dead end.

Marina Albert endeavours to explore the human spirit, while drawing on universal themes across drama, comedy and action/adventure. Wielding her visual style, Marina directed a graphic novel series - JEZEBEL: ‘Mother of Harlots” - adapted from her original screenplay of the same name. All seven issues are available through Amazon and IndyPlanet.
Summer Wine, Maid in America and Joseph have placed in several contests including: Page, Capital Fund, Creative World Awards, LAISA, Extreme Screenwriting, TIFF, Latino Screenwriting contest and Cannes Golden Plume. Jezebel garnered a win in the historical genre (Capital Fund 2017).
